The aim of the unit is to enable you to demonstrate advanced understanding of OSH legal frameworks and management principles. This includes the application, development, appraisal, and implications of different approaches in a business.

The aim of this unit is to enable you to critically appraise OSH performance within an organisation. The aim of this unit is to enable you to demonstrate understanding and application of leadership skills to influence, challenge and drive change within OSH in an organisation. You will critically review the effectiveness of your own capability and performance to fulfil the OSH leadership role. You will also identify areas for continuing professional development (CPD).

Assessment
IOSH states learners must complete a Technical Evaluation assignment for Unit 1, an OSH Strategic Proposal assignment across Units 2 and 3, and a Self-reflection assignment for Unit 3. Kevron also states the qualification is assessed through workplace-based assignments rather than written exams.
Prerequisites
- Kevron states learners must be aged 19 or above.
- Kevron states learners should have a Level 3 OSH qualification or a minimum of two years' relevant OSH experience.
- IOSH states there are no mandatory entry requirements, but strongly recommends prior Level 3 IOSH study or equivalent and/or relevant experience.
- Learners must meet English-language requirements and be, or become before course start, an IOSH member under Kevron’s stated entry process.
